Clinical Professor Sandra O’Toole is a Staff Specialist Tissue and Molecular Pathologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney where she is the founder and head of Diagnostic Molecular Oncology, a cutting edge diagnostic service performing mutation profiling to guide the diagnosis and care of cancer patients.
She is also a highly regarded breast cancer researcher as head of the Translational Breast Cancer Group at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre with over 80 publications many on the use of biomarkers in clinical practice and research. She also heads two large breast tumour banks.
