Sandra Turner is a radiation oncologist at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, and a clinical associate professor at the University of Sydney. She subspecializes in genitourinary (GU) cancers and sarcoma, was a founding member of the Faculty of Radiation Oncology (RO) GU Group, is an active member of TROG and participates in mainly GU-related clinical trials. She is a RANZCR RO Faculty Councillor and in this position advocates for improved patient-focused decision-making pathways for men with prostate cancer. She is Clinical Lead on the Targeting Cancer campaign working to raise awareness of radiation therapy, which remains significantly under-utilized in Australia and world-wide. Sandra was Chief Censor in Radiation Oncology and has an ongoing interest in post-graduate education, oncology curriculum design and leadership development for interdisciplinary RO teams. She is currently completing her PhD in the area of trainee/junior RO leadership education.
