Prof Georgia Halkett is a Senior Research Fellow based at Curtin University. She is one of very few radiation therapists in Australia and internationally to hold a PhD and be actively leading research relating to radiation therapy. She completed her PhD in December 2005 at the University of South Australia. Georgia's program of research focuses on cancer patient’s and carers psychosocial and information needs, communication between health professionals and cancer patients, cancer survivorship and research in radiation therapy. Georgia has experience in conducting research qualitative research, mixed methods studies and clinical trials.
