Bryan Chan

A/Prof Bryan Chan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with first class honours and the University Medal from the University of Queensland (UQ). Prior to that he had worked as a Pharmacist after graduating with honours from UQ. After being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014, he then completed a 2-year clinical research fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada, where he was also the Chief Oncology Fellow. Returning to Queensland, he joined the team at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital where he is the Thoracic Oncology and Oncology Research lead. Affiliated with both UQ and Griffith Universities, Bryan has a passion for teaching and research and subsequently completed his Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology with the University of Sydney. His clinical interests are in managing thoracic, gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine malignancies with research interests in health service and quality.
