Chris Milross

Chris is currently Head of Radiation Oncology, and Deputy Medical Director, at The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney.
A graduate of UNSW Chris trained in Radiation Oncology at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and was thereafter a Fellow in Experimental Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas.
Clinically Chris has been active in the disciplines of Head and Neck Oncology and Gynaecological Oncology. His research interests and publications span translational and clinical studies in H&N cancer (including the role of HPV), cancer patient support and communications, and cancer services planning.
Chris was a member of the executive of the ANZH&NS 2003 – 2008, and the executive of the ANZGOG 2006-2008. He was Dean of the Faculty of Radiation Oncology Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists 2009-2012, and President of the College 2014-2015.
It has been a career highlight for Chris to have been involved in the concept development, the design and building, and now the operation and growth of The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
