Mr Jason Fowler is a Clinical Psychologist and PhD fellow working at the The University of Sydney within the Centre for Medical Psychology & Evidence-Based Decision-Making (CeMPED) and the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute (ADRI). Mr Fowler’s clinical background is in mental health and he currently works for Sydney and South West Sydney Psychiatry Training Network as a psychotherapy supervisor and educator for psychiatry registrars. Mr Fowler is completing his PhD on the topic of quality of life in people with malignant mesothelioma. His project aims to document quality of life, psychological distress (anxiety and depression) and unmet supportive care needs in this population. He is also interested in the relationship between quality of life and other potential prognostic indicators such as nutritional status, functional ability and inflammatory processes.
