Max Bulsara

Professor Max Bulsara is the chair in Biostatistics at University of Notre Dame, visiting professor University College London and adjunct professor at School of Population Health, at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Prof Bulsara completed an undergraduate degree (with honors) in Mathematics and Masters degree in Statistics at University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. He was awarded his PhD (in Epidemiology and Biostatistics with Distinction) in October 2008 at University of WA. He has been involved in epidemiological studies for over three decades. He is currently the trial statistician for the large international multi-centre TARGIT-A and TARGIT-B trial breast cancer trials. He is an investigator on many grants and collaborates with leading researchers in WA, inter-state and international. In 2006 he won WA Inventor of the Year in the Research Organisation Category, for the development of HEPASCORE, a non-invasive method of diagnosing liver fibrosis.
