Ilona Juraskova

Ilona Juraskova (PhD, MPsychClin) is Professor in Health Psychology at the School of Psychology, the University of Sydney. She has over 20 years’ experience in conducting psycho-oncology research, and has taught health and clinical psychology to students and clinicians over the last 10 years. Her research program primarily focuses on improving doctor-patient-family communication, shared decision-making and adjustment following illness. She has developed and evaluated many evidence-based psychosocial interventions and communication resources that has been implemented into clinical practice. Ilona has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers, and has received over $8 million in research funding.
