Ben Tran

Ben Tran is a consultant medical oncologist and translational researcher in Melbourne, Australia with appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Hospital and Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. He is actively involved in clinical trials and translational research, with special interest areas including genitourinary cancers, personalized medicine and drug development.
Following completion of his training in Melbourne, Ben completed a research fellowship at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) in Toronto, Canada, where he led a translational cancer genomics study that assessed the feasibility of using next generation sequencing for molecular profiling in advanced cancer patients. On return to Melbourne, he is now intimately involved in building a personalized medicine program for cancer patients, through the use of molecular profiling and molecularly matched treatments.
