Associate Professor Odette Spruyt is Director of the Pain and Palliative Care Department, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne. This is a consultancy service which aims to integrate palliative medicine into cancer care. She has been a member of several national and international palliative care and pain organisations, including the board of the IAHPC, and was chair of the Australian New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine from 2006-2008. She currently chairs the Victorian Clinical Oncology Group, Palliative Medicine. She is founding chairperson of Australasian Palliative Link International (APLI). Odette has authored 5 book chapters and over 30 scientific papers.
